Bio John Kurelek is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Queen’s University. His research group specializes in experimental fluid mechanics, with a focus on advancing wind energy and aircraft technologies through the study of aerodynamics. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department at Princeton University, where he now holds an appointment as a Visiting Research Collaborator. Prior, he completed a dual PhD degree between the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Faculties at the University of Waterloo and Delft University of Technology. He is the recipient of some of Canada’s top postgraduate awards, including NSERC’s Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Alexander Graham Bell Scholarship.
